Ihoe
You really are a fanboy eh Ihoe?NVidia cards have had DX11 since the GTS250. "The GT 430 Hardly copes up with 240, much less compared to 250"Are you saying that the 430 is worse the 240? because you are wrong. Horribly wrong. How about some advise from a long time Nvidia user xJamesG?dear sir,i never had any AMD card. nor will have until they beat nvidia in the enthusiast market.current nvidia cards with DX11 support are only the 400 series. (LOL) i suggest putting a burden on your eyes and taking a look at their specs page at NVIDIA's official homepage, or even wikipedia.do you remember the time when nvidia was boasting about fermi and it's DX11 features? the time the only Nvidia contenders in the market were DX10 based 200 series against ATI's DX11 based 5000 series? sure you don't. before ranting your biased opinion on the 430, please visit some reliable sources and read their reviews. do you have one? I share my opinions based on this Article. consider increasing your knowledge about hardware.
xJamesG
Well reading up on some reviews forget the GT 240 cause it barely rates better than its predecessor the 220 and the GT 430 doesn't rate as well as a Nvidia card already out the GTS 250 .The GTS 450 seems to be your best choice if its within your budget.Hope this helps I made a mistake - Apparently I have the GeForce 210 ... Does that change anything? Or is my best best still with the 250 or 450?
CommanderCrazy
Ihoe.I have a Geforce GTX260 at the moment, and my DxDiag says DX11.A friend has a GTS 240. His DxDiag says DX11. What more proof do you need or want? Also, I'm not biased, i actually know people that do benchmarks and reviews. And besides. For you to click on the link into this topic, you obviously had to have read the fact that he wanted an Nvidia card.So why post ATi cards? xJamesG.I'd say try to strain your budget for the GTS450.If you can't, go for the GT430, barely rating better is still rating better. An off topic card, the GTX260 is nice. It doesn't require much power, although it's pretty big.It just needs a little overclocking to bring it up to speed, so if you find a factory overclocked one, even better. It's also cheap, You can get where I am for $150 AU

AWarGuy
Well I have a Ati Radeon 4870 1 GB and that will keep me going for years to come, but the new Nvida cards are very nice and since your PSU is amazing I would look into those so I agree with CommanderCrazy. Thor.
Thor here, i have 2 gtx470's in sli, and yes they are dx 11  . Can play Crysis on custom settings at 40fps at 1080P. of course with v.sync, reason for lower fps, hates taring :verymad: Anyone willing to try to beat me, be my guessed :whistling: Check my profile for more spec info. Hey, I wwas looking at getting the NVIDIA GeForce GT 240.At the moment I have the GeForce 220 ...My complete spec isIntel i7 960 3.2 GHz6GB DDR3 RAMWindows 7 Ultimate 64 BitAnd a Gigabyte 3.0 Motherboard ...Thanks (: For the original Question i would go with the gtx 460, its cheap and fast. You may need a new motherboard if you don't support PCI Express 2.0 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187115&cm_re=gtx460-_-14-187-115-_-Product One thing i noticed between the amd-nviidia and Intel-Nvidia motherboards are the price  AMD boards are a lot cheaper. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131648&cm_re=Intel_i7_nvidia_motherboards-_-13-131-648-_-Product Edited November 22, 2010 by Thor. CommanderCrazy
AMD is more value for money, but Nvidia is sheer power and quality. But seriously. My GTX260 has Dx11.
Thor.
I know that, i was surprised thats all. I was actually mentioning the boards in general amd nvidia vs Intel Nvidia. Also Humm no they are not dx 11 cards, they are only dx 10. Only the gtx400 series are. Coming from someone who knows. Edited November 22, 2010 by Thor.
