CommanderCrazy
"Say just one game where you can turn DX 11 under graphic options on ANY GTX 2xx series card, you sir post buch of lies. And why do you all think that ATi gfx card are not good. (Fixed that)When did you last time had an ATi gpu in your PC??? (Fixed that too)Stop spamming and being Geforce fanboy. Both HD 6850 and Gtx 460 should be minimum for games today on high and full hd, and performace is more less the same betfeen those two cards." You, sir, Fail.To start, ATi makes the graphics cards, AMD makes the processors and stuff like that. Now, I said, and I can prove, that I can use Dx11 features in games didn't I? I dont get crashes or glitches either. And by the way, no one said that ATi cards suck, James just wants an Nvidia. He said so in not just the title of the topic, but in the OP.The last time I had an ATi card, was the HD4850, and I was not impressed. So tell me, Mr. Fail, how does staying with the OP's wishes make me a fanboy? Over my years of gaming I have had a multitude of different cards, spreading over the two brands. Lord Almighty, every single thread about GPU's always gets spammed with ATi cards. So why are you calling me a fanboy and not the other people who say stuff along the lines of "If you dont buy an ATi, you suck" "Both HD 6850 and Gtx 460 should be minimum for games today on high and full hd, and performace is more less the same betfeen those two cards."He didn't say ATi did he? So why did you post an ATi card? Now that we've both got a rant in, how about this just stops eh? I'm sure that we've both got no desire to get banned. Erik005
ATI was bought by AMD a few years ago and recently AMD dropped the ATI brand name. Check This page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon The gtx200 series simply does not have directx 11 Because it is a hardware feature. Check this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_200_Series To the OP: You have a very powerful processor and power-supply, A gtx 460 or Radeon 6850 would fit both your need and your system best. Save a little money for one of these cards or you will have to buy a more powerful card next year.
Xenno
So Yea i can see CommanderCrazy how big is your knowledgle if u dont know, AMD is owner of former Ati brand since Ati HD 38xx Gfx cards. They killed Ati brand like less than 2 months ago.And now Ati brand is dead :(, on every card is AMD logo Ati logo doesnt exsist anymore. And btw if u had Ati HD 4850 in time when was new card (not few years later) and you it didnt perform good, you had crappy CPU or 30 inch monitor :whistling: . Thor.
Lol we are not necessarily Fan boys, its the hardware we chose. and we already mentioned this already, oh one thing, he can't go AMD because of his board, unless he wants to change boards to a amd crossfire he could but it would cost him money. So i would as i stated before go with the gtx460 Its not recommended to use other makes other then the one you have. Its up to him at the end though. Edited November 25, 2010 by Thor. CommanderCrazy
I also would say, the GTX 285 is going pretty cheap ATM, so you could get that also.It is a mid range though, so not as polished as, say, a GTX 460 (No Fermi\Tesselation and to end a petty argument, no DX11) As for Xenno's ATi\AMD comment, I really didn't know as I don't keep up with their news. The computer I'm using at the moment (2 PC's) has an ATi card (X1950GT. Not so good.) and an AMD board \ CPU (Athlon 64 X2. Again, not so good.)At the time of manufacture of these products, that's how it was. ATi cards, AMD other stuff. xJamesG
Well if I can't get the 460 - The only ones I can easily get my hands on is the 430 or 240? (Maybe 450 but not too sure ...)
