xJamesG
There's a GT 430, GT 240 and GTS 450 ...
Xenno
Lol we are not necessarily Fan boys, its the hardware we chose. and we already mentioned this already, oh one thing, he can't go AMD because of his board, unless he wants to change boards to a amd crossfire he could but it would cost him money. So i would as i stated before go with the gtx460 Its not recommended to use other makes other then the one you have. Its up to him at the end though. Well i see that he have Core i7 on Gigabyte mbo. That means that mbo has Intel X58 chipset, X58 supports both SLI and Crossfire. But as i can see author must save money 4 sigle gpu solution in first place right? So why to talk about multy gpu solutions? CommanderCrazy
Why use such a bad tone?We NVidia people aren't so bad, right Thor.? But, on a side note, what country do you live in xJamesG? Edited November 26, 2010 by CommanderCrazy
Erik005
I checked some benchmarks, the gts450 preforms about the same a the radeon 5750. So a gts450 would be the best choice. But i still think saving up for a gtx460 or HD6850 is your better option.
Xenno
And i agree with Erik, if gts 450 is strong as 5750, that means its minor better than gts 250 and thats not too much performance.
Erik005
In any case do not buy a gts250. The gts250 is a re-branding of the 9800gtx which was a re-branded 8800gtx

UK :D And also, as just a general thing - It's not that I don't like AMD cards, I always used to ... Just my last computer has two 7600GT's and it was pretty brilliant compared to my old ATI card I had in it - And now I just prefer NVIDIA (:

Erik005
I do not have a preference of one or the other. My previous card was a nvidia 8800gt now i have a radeon 5870. If I would have to buy a new card now it would be a nvidia gtx580 but if the radeon 6970 preforms better I would buy that. The one thing I will not do again is buy a card from launch, that is what gives most people trouble. If you get a gts450 you should search for one with a good cooler and a nice stock overclock. If your in for the latest, the new Nvidia card that was released can run rings around the latest and newest ati right now, as they claim to have the most powerful gpu in existants or the world , It is ridiculously over priced though :teehee: :teehee: . If you want to go with a card and have no worries about money lol, this is the card for you. http://www.dailytech.com/Worlds+Fastest+GPU+GTX+580+Launches+Prices+Float+at+Around+520/article20103.htm Edited November 27, 2010 by Thor.
