scruples
Hi my name is Scruples, (Daniel irl).I am a Hobbyist modeler, and am making some Midwestern Brotherhood Advanced Power Armor, for fallout New Vegas.progress below v (and more to read)http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee146/scruples321/MBarmor.jpg I am about 50% done modeling, and I wanted to ask some questions.I read in the tutorials, rigging models can only be automated, is this still true?. Also I am asking for help getting this into the game as a decent mod.Which means coupling it with a small quest branch that will lead you to the armor.....I will texture it and import it into the game myself but it would be infinitely helpful if someone could collaborate with me on this whole thingsince I am still n00b. I don't expect to get any responses right away, so I will continue updating this with my progress until (hopefully), someone can tutor(?) me. scruples
^ Thanks, I am still pushing to get someone to make a quest branch for it.....unless there is an existing mod with similar quest branch already.Modeling update 75% done.http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee146/scruples321/MBarmor2.jpg

scruples
^ You were right, I kept on putting off the proportions and saying to myself "I'll do it lator", and I almost forgot to fix them.It now matches the regular Fallout proportions much closer. So, thanks Graavigala (next pic will come when the Texturing is done and considering I gotta babysit for next three days, it might be a week before you guys see any progress). simplywayne90
I believe this may have already been made, although from your models your will be much nicer looking, The one already made is called Tactics Armor in NV Nexus, I'd suggest you see it and thus may inspire yours to be even better made. Look forward to the completed mod! Edited November 26, 2010 by simplywayne90
scruples
Edit: Ah I found it, but I dont think it will give me any inspiration =/, Although I am relieved it doesn't look professionally made, it would probably break any motivation that I have. Update, finished UV unwrap yesterday, modeling boots done today.....projected time to completion, (not ingame) 2 weeks?.BTW I still want someone to collaborate on this with me, either some who does textures, or scripter, geck know-it-all etc.(^A partner would be preferable but someone who I can annoy with 1000 questions will do)http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee146/scruples321/MWBArmor2.jpg The front will have less detail vI figure the Engineers designed it this way to hide all the more vulnerable components (servo's, control boards, potentiometers, test circuits, do-hickey's and all that mumbo-jumbo) Edited November 26, 2010 by scruples
simplywayne90
I do so love your work so far,and so I figured that if your going to make more armors in the future I'd give you some non-fallout power armors that you may draw inspiration from! There's a good pile on this thread Power Armor Inspiration Anyways its kind of a "just in case" thing. I don't expect anything of it! =P
