scruples
All ye words be too kind, Heres a very small update. Good news everybody!, Captain-ultima says he'll help me import it into the game!. I Added the shoulder armor pieces and increased contrast of textures, and some other minute things. Might have added too much contrast in the textures, I'll probably tone it down 50% http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee146/scruples321/FOarmor8888.jpg Edited December 9, 2010 by scruples
dragonhunter
good job on the shoulder piece, I'm really liking how it looks at the moment, and yes you should probably tone down the contrast a bit, I'm really loving all the edges where it looks like the paint is scrapped off etc, really gives the armor the look it has seen a few battles, just nitpicking but one small idea is maybe make the scratches and paint damage a bit less symmetrical? (assuming you aren't using mirrored UV's) but well its not really needed because it looks great like it does now. scruples
Pretty-much all the uv's are mirrored, with the exceptions being the helmet, cloth parts, shoulders....but thats a good point, I might have some extra UV space I can use tobreak some of the bad looking symmetry, maybe enough to do the codpiece and the center abdomen plate. jediakyrol
It's funny how Enclave that armour looked... I always thought that It doesn't really look like an Enclave armor at all. If you follow the publishing dates of the Fallout series, you'll notice that the only time any Enclave armor looked like the Midwestern BoS armor is in Fallout 3, which was released quite some time after Tactics. Thus, Bethesda pretty much ripped off the design. Just another strike in their book, IMO. One of the big complaints when tactics came out was that the Midwest PA looked too much like the Enclave "Bugface" PA, especially considering it was supposed to be set 45 years *before* Fallout 2... That reminds me...since New Vegas is set 30+ years after Fallout 2, Tactics is now confirmed to be an alternate timeline, or else there would be BOS airships, corn-oil refineries, modified biodiesel HumVee's, and Furry Deathclaws everywhere. ok...the lack of airships kinda bums me out...I love airships...but everything else... scruples
I miss furry Deathclaws. According to the devs, or atleast one of em, the APA design is (was?) based off a commercially available pre-war power armor. Which might explain why there would be a couple similar versions  I am trying to find the source for where I found that, but having a hard time oddly....ah here is is...http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Power_armor_%28Fallout_Tactics%29Well its just a rumor it looks like and they only mention the eastern brotherhood  .
