Frustrated trying to find "Monk" style weapons

I just got done looking at all 129 pages of the weapons mods...and several pages of the slow as winter sludge Planet Elder Scrolls site's weaponry mods and....find all sorts of weaponry that I'm refraining from getting colorful in expressing my thoughts on (and what's up with the whole WoW fetish thing? Can't people get away from that $*$*#)_%&% MMO?) but crimeny...guns...ak47s for pete's sake...yet when it comes to Monk style weapons? :wallbash:

 

Did I miss something? Is there simply nothing that a budding Martial Artist type of character (leaning towards Assassin oriented) can use in conjunction of the HTH skill or am I doomed to have to use short swords, claymores and a sea of katanas/daggers/ninjatos? What exactly would I be looking for you might ask? Like say cesti for instance, or tiger claws, 7 section staff, kusari-gama, or is that all beyond Oblivion's engine to render?

 

And seasoned pros who could point me in the right direction of some weapon mods, and the skills those weapons rely on would be much appreciated.

 

 

And as a side comment, Is it just me or did Oblivion get a dumb down in its base mechanics from Morrowind? Been a long while since I've done a TES game, just picked up Oblivion a few weeks ago after learning how to install and use FCOM.

Depends if you have a male or a female character if your char is female then tona has some thief and monk stuff posted.
