AI Quest

I've been toying around with this idea for a while.. So I thought I'd share it with people. Basically, it's a companion quest, which can end with some.. awesome results, atleast how they played in my head.

 

As the Courier wandered the area toward the Quarry Junction, he stopped by a recent caravan raid by some Powder Gangers.. One of the guards seemed to be holding something tightly clenched in his hand, upon closer inspection, it was a chip, a computer chip. Plugging the chip into his/her Pipboy, it begun to broadcast a weird channel, Which once listened to would direct you to go to a building just east of the strip.(Voice would be a default Microsoft Sam/Whatever.). Once the courier had arrived at this building, he ejected the chip according to instructions. Taking it inside the courier finds himself infront of a massive computer, which had a perfectly positioned chip holder. The Chip contained an AI which requested the Courier to find him a body to go in. From this point on, there's multiple paths you can take.

With enough Science, you can build the body for the robot, choosing every single aspect of it, whether it will have legs.. etc. etc. Complete customization.

With even higher Science, you could ALSO implant it into some power armour, choosing benefits, such as an auto heal, increased perception. etc. etc.

With enough Medicine, You can implant it into a follower, whoever it is, will 'die', and their voice and name will be changed to AI: Buddy(Name is up to whoever decides to take this, or if it's possible, have it Player named.)

With enough Speech and Medicine, you can trick someone into following you, just incase you wanted to keep your friends.

Science would be for good Karma.

Medicine/Medicine and Speech would be evil karma.

 

If your AI buddy dies, you can just take the chip from the body and implant it into a new one. Over and over again.

Eventually, he will come up with a schematic for you. A gun.. Which you can load the chip in, and shoot it at someone, which allows him to possess that person, if you miss, a script will return the chip to you.(if it's possible.)

 

As mentioned earlier, the voice is a system default. Such as Microsoft Sam or whatever. Simply because he's an AI.

 

..And yeah.. that's all I could think of.
