Fallout new vegas DLC exclusive for xbox

Hello today I was looking foran update for the geck as it doesn´t load the interiors correctly and I come across at the fallout site that the NV dlc will be exclusive for xbox.I think that´s rather stupid from their part as they would make much more money with it for pc because of te mods.What you think you think they will release it for pc eventually?

I'm not sure if they will release it eventually, but there must be a valid reason for why it's being made exclusive. I do not believe in exclusivity when it comes to games, primarily on the basis that why should one customer get something different and potentially better when buying the same product.

 

I have to say, this usually doesn't sound like a good idea. This sort of exclusivity introduces all sorts of copyright infringer's who use the desire for other console players to get them to purchase it, or set it up free.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a valid reason. The reason is simply money in my opinion. I hope it will be released for us PC users and the PS3 users as well. Maybe when NV goes GOTY or just eventually someday. I'd honestly rather have platform exclusive games, because you just can't have it if you don't have that platform. In this situation, we all buy the same game, but 2 out of 3 users get ripped off, even if only temporarily, but we don't know if it will be temporary or not. On a positive note, the DLC doesn't sound like it'll be anything terribly major (even though any DLC is nice to have). If no one knows, since I've not seen a thread on it, some of the details of the DLC were released today. It'll be released Dec. 21st. Merry Christmas Xbox 360 players :wallbash: lol

Merry christmas indeed xbox users indeed XD I´ll be very disapointed if they don´t release it for pc after a while as the xbox and pc are both from microsoft and they would make more money out of the pc versions, then again lot´s of companies release console versions and some months later the pc ones and I heard that´s to prevent piracy problems and loss of money wich makes sense, still I think fallout 3 and NV for consoles are not a good game, what does this games so good are the mods in my opinion I wouldn´t buy them if it wasn´t for the mods.

Why does M$ keep *bleeping* Windows game players? If it wasn't for games Apple would have a much larger percentage of the personal computer market.

I do not agree with their decision to release it for XBox only. I think when DLCs are released, they should be released for ALL platforms at the same time. But as firsTraveler eloquently put it:

I'm not a fan of M$, although I do use Windows in my daily life. I just wished more game manufacturers released their games for Fedora (linux). If they did, then I would only use Windows only a very small portion of the time.

 

Am I a Fedora fan boy? Probably. But I can't argue the point that Windows is a MUST HAVE.

Microsoft paid Bethesda extra to have the DLC released for the Xbox Platform first, it will eventually make it to PC and Playstation but most likely will not be for a few months, early 2011. They pulled this same stunt with Grand Theft Auto 4 expansion pack (Ballad of Gay Tony or whatever it was called). Their marketing department obviously must see a ramp up in Xbox console sales for them to continually fork over extra cash for exclusive content rights to popular games.

It was done probably to boost popularity and sales for the 360. I mean, the game is not as big as the last Fallout or as long (in my opinion). The mods keep our attention and increase replayability, new mods come out/update everyday. Meaning we get free new content everyday, they don't. And they can't fix the bugs populating the game.

 

If you only had a 360 and 60 bucks on your pocket, what will you get? Fallout New Vegas or Red Dead Redemption?

 

They've already won over the PC gaming community, now's the time to focus on the cash cow.

 

And I'm betting that future exclusive DLCs for the XBOX will have content similar to released and future popular game mods.

 

 

Do I like the idea of no DLC for PC? Heck no!!!

 

What about Red Dead for PC? Though chances are slim... Hell yes!!!

Watching Youtube clips of Red Dead Redemption, the game looks amazing. I have never owned a console. However am looking at Craigslist for deals on a PS3 ... let's just say if the right deal comes along the first game I will be getting is Red Dead Redemption, haha

 

And the reason I prefer PS3 over Xbox 360 is you can also play Blu Ray on the PS3 as well.

PS3 graphics are much better than xbox360 and a good pc much better than the two consoles XD

Anyway I hope they release the dlc exclusive for xbox to pc version.It´s like soot00 said they might release it after some month.

I really think it´s stupid to create exclusive dlc´s when the game exists for 3 platftorms.If it there will be exclusives then migt as well make the game exclusive for one platform too.Let´s all hope that they release it for pc.
