Suddenlyhopeful
I'm getting an issue where tes5edit is looking for the skyrim data folder in the wrong place. It's looking for it in the regular steam directory, which doesn't apply to me.How to change the directory TES5EDIT is looking for? The reason it's in a different location is because I moved it, obviously, and I'd rather not go into that unless I need to. It's just irrelevant. If I have to uninstall and reinstall, which is seriously has to be the last option, I can figure that out myself.
dragonhunterspy
Did you place the TES5Edit files and exe in the Skyrim Folder, where the Skyrim.exe is?

DiMx999
Hello. I have the same problem. First of all, there are specific places in the game where the game instantly crashes to desktop. It also happens in Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, it crashes after like 100 meters. So I decided to load the mods correctly using LOOT but then I heard that I should also clean them using TES5Edit. I put the TES5Edit folder inside SKSE, I even copied - pasted the files in SKSE directory and when I start it, it says Legendary Edition.

You can rename it to SSEEDIT and it will be for special edition. You can also just download the SSEEDIT on special edition nexus.
