Better explosive skill using

Hi all!

I think the explosive skill not too usefull, maybe we need to increase it. If you have 80 or so explosive skills and you have C4 then you can blow up the locks on the safes and doors, etc. Not real destruction effect, just simply "open" the lock, and you can open everything with c4 and high explosive skills. Or not needed 80 explosvie skill, you can blow with every explosive skills, but there will be chance to the success. If you have lower explosive skills the chance to the success is low...

I thinks it will be great, what do you think?

c4 is ridiculously rare and expensive, I really don't see why this would need a low chance and/or high skill. If im paying 1500-2000 caps for a single door, I should get it with about enough skill to activate bomb,

 

Maybe use explosive skill to do it with lower quality explosives?

The Fo3 mod that allowed you to blow doors permitted you to use grenades, mines, missiles and even nukes! But if you had the mod set as a skill, not as a cheat, it depended on your explosives skill to determine whether you opened the door or safe or whatever. Or failed to open it, destroyed the contents or destroyed everything else in the building (including stray companions)

It was a brilliant mod that meant 'explosives' skill could not only make up for poor lockpick skills but a failed locked/ jammed door could be blown, if you had the necessarys.

You are right, i did not think through. The C4 is rare and expensive, you not worth it to use. :)
