USSRSPETSNAZGRU
Work has started of 3 new maps, the largest one will be the zone its self. What will it add? 3 New worlds to explore, and also the first 2 wastelands ever to be seen out of the US! At the moment work has begun only for Pripyat, the main town.It will have many new models, and MANY new weapons, armor, and much much more. The smallest of the 3 maps will be Alaska. How will you get to the new world maps? A new Model and textured plane a Russian IL-76 will be located at Searchlight Airport. You will fly from there to an airport in Alaska then take a plane to Kiev, Ukraine. From Kiev you will take a train to Yanov Railway station located in the 32km Zone of Exclusion due to the accident in 1986 at the Chernobyl NPP. The beta will most likely be released in January. We aren't looking for any voice actors or modelers/scripters. The voice will be in Russian with English subtitles. I will upload some teaser pictures soon!
dieangel68
Before someone mention the potentially illegality of this mod, the guys who made stalker mentioned numerous times that they don't mind peoples using their assets in mods, as long as those mods are free. This sounds like a pretty ambitious mod, here are my suggestions: -The plane should have some kind of interior, maybe you have to spend X hours in it before reaching destination (sleeping or simply waiting).-Don't forget the emission bursts, this was one of my favorite parts in stalker!-I hope you are prepared for a long run because this sounds like a mod that will take you a good while to develop. hamon
I for one, always hoped for the Zone to be added to Fallout...it was one of my fantasies but I never expected for it to happen (until now) because I understand amount of work and dedication it would include. This could be one of the greatest mods of all time. Also this could be one of the most atmospheric mod ever...wandering alone trough Pripyat ghost town, frozen in time, looking at ferris wheel, empty swimming pool, hotel Polissya, main square and Energetik center... I will surely keep my eyes on development!Wish you the best of luck in completing this mod, I can't describe how I'm looking forward to this. And yes it will take possibly a year for completion.

I will most likely have a page set up on moddb.com, This isnt like stalker, they made pripyat small, this will include every building all with interiors and rooms. also the chernobyl NPP will be also added. This isnt like stalker at all. I took 2 trips to Pripyat 2008 and 2009, and have experienced and taken photos of what it looks like!

theroguex
Um... just a quick comment, but it's very likely that Chernobyl never occurred in the Fallout timeline, given that everything post-WWII on was much, much different than in the real world. But hey, people are adding StarCraft and anime stuff to the game, so it's clear people don't actually care about the setting. They just want to put 'cool' stuff in the game. Good luck on this.
