TheBort
So I am pretty darn afraid of the radscorpions in game and they make it so that I cannot enjoy it. I find myself only worrying about whether or not a radscorpion is going to sneak up on me and attack me. I solved this problem back in FO3 by going into the GECK and setting the actor base of each instance of a radscorpion to a Yao Guai template and then checking all of the boxes so that the radscorpion had the Yao Guai's characteristics and so on. This worked perfectly for me and I was able to enjoy my radscorpion free game. In FO3, this was fairly simple considering that there were only something like 8 instances of different types of radscorpions. Now though, in New Vegas, there are vastly many more instances of radscorpions in the GECK, and also new types of radscorpion associated entries. In FO3, all the instances that needed to be changed had titles like CrRadscorpion1Small, LvlRadscorpion, and WastelandCraterScorpion. Now in New Vegas there are like 10 of each of the aforementioned forms, and then new entries that I don't quite know what to do with like VCrRadscorpionTier1TypeA, VCrTier1RadscorpionSmall, and VSpawnRadscorpionTier1. There are at least 15 entires for each of these types as well. I have tried changing only the ones that I changed back in FO3 but it would crash when I went into the wasteland. Also, I have tried simply deleting some entries, that results in not even being able to load the game. And if I delete the VSpawn entries, figuring that they were spawn points, the game loads but there are still radscorpions. So I need some advice on the proper way to go about either removing or replacing all radscorpions with another enemy. Thanks,Bort
Trueform
I haven't tried doing anything similiar myself, so I'm just working on theory here, but have you tried using the search and replace (control & F) function? It may help :)

It may help :) I tried to use the search and replace function, but it doesn't seem to want to do anything. I say, for instance, to replace CrRadscorpion1Small with CrCoyote, and it says that I need to have an exterior cell selected in the render window. With no previous knowledge, sorry I can't be of much more help. Maybe the only solution is to be to select every exterior cell one by one and replace them that way. It would be long and tedious, but a lot of the exterior cells are test cells anyway, so they're blank. It might not be as bad a job as it appears given that. GxRay
Lol, there's nothing scary about radscorpions. I will admit though that one scared the living s*** out of me once when it came up behind me while I was walking.

I turned around and a giant radscorpion stabbed me in the face. I died. almost made me jump out of my chair. that was the first enemy I encountered in the game lol
Trueform
Lol, there's nothing scary about radscorpions. I will admit though that one scared the living s*** out of me once when it came up behind me while I was walking. I don't find them scary, but everyone has their phobias. They can be damn stealthy for armoured bugs the size of cars though; it's almost as if they're wearing slippers :P Edited November 22, 2010 by Trueform
