My wife has An alienware alpha and wants mods for dragon age origins. I cannot figure out how to download them onto the alienware alpha and install them. Anyone know what to do. Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not many user's of that platform around (yet).

What's the folder structure for the installed game and the player's saved games on the Alienware Alpha?

That'll tell us a lot about how closely it matches the usual PC/Steam config.

Think i got it figured out. Gotta go to desktop side of the platform. Then it's just like win 8 on pc. Not sure on what folder to save the mods in tho. Some mods don't work like changing eye color. Now trying to figure out the controls. Cannot open doors and keyboard functions aren't doing anything...

For the most part, mods go where they go on a PC: The "\override" folder located under the same user profile folder as "saves".

On my PC the saves are under: "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\<charactername>\Saves"

And mods are under: "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override".

The exception, of course, is a ".dazip" mod, which has multiple components that need to be placed (or applied) in different locations. Making things even more complicated is the fact that with the Ultimate Edition BioWare changed where the "\addins" folder was located.

When you say, "Some mods don't work like changing eye color." do you mean they don't work with your current characters? Because that would be correct. Those sorts of mods only work with the Character Creator. And for CC mods to work, you have to understand the "CharGenMorphConfig.xml" file and where it's located.
