I have this problem with the darkbrother hood quest. I dont wanna join it. So i didnt kill the guy i was instructed to kill with the hope that i never see that hooded man again. While playing later on, a tutorial window pops up stating that Rufio is dead and that i will be visited upon by the hooded man. I didnt do it!!!I didnt kill Rufio, and i dont wanna be in the dark brotherhood. I was visited by the hooded man and he told me to go to the secret house. Im not gonna go. What happened! I know i killed someone but i thought i didnt have to join the darkbrotherhood if i didnt want to. Why did it say i killed rufio when i was no where near him and didnt kill him? Also i wanted to know whats up with the Faction: Player Faction - Friend? It shows up on my stats with the other factions i joined. Is that a bug or is it standard? Abramul Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 From what I've heard, the easiest way to avoid DB quests is to kill the 'hooded guy' you mentioned. Yes its simple to not do the quests, but i think that hooded man will still show up. I cant kill him i think hes a ghost or something, nothing happens, he just walks away and disappears! He gives me the creeps, he does. Anyway, i wont go to that house so i think that will be ok unless something else happens and im forced to go. I'm just wondering if there is a way to delete a quest from your current quests? Its just that now in my factions i have a name "murderer" and i dont like that. Malchik Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 I am sure you can use the console to cease to belong to the DB faction. Unfortunately I don't know what it is but try looking on the UESP hint site. In fact though, the DB quests for Vincente Valtieri and Ocheeva are quite fun. You only get to kill bad guys and the quests are quite imaginative. Later on they start to become less interesting (simply hack and slash type slayings that are of no real excitement) but at first they are enjoyable. Several people on the forum have voted that the Summitmist Manor quest is the funniest in the game. If you want to experience the game to the full I would save and do the DB simply for the experience, then go back to the old save. sleaaels Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 I wouldn't kill Lucien if i were you, at least you can do the DB quests if you have a change of heart. Malchik is right, there are some really fun quest with them, so just don't go through with the initiate quest and you will not be involved with the DB. Theres of course the console command I guess. The person i killed was part of a house mod and totally useless, and plus i kept finding her invading my room and sleeping in my bed. I dont know how to mod her out so, i well, deleted her! the only way i knew how. I dont plan on doing any more murders. Does anyone know how to delete quest from your menu lists. Im told about a console command. Does anyone have any more information on that? Maybe i should make that a seperate topic, Console Command for deleteing quest out of the game. If you don't want to be in the DB then go in the sanctuary and kill a person then go to sleep the kill the ghost and do that 3 times and you'll be out, i did fiind a cheat to to remove the active quest once but i fogot it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
