Looking for an existing mod to work from in creating a persistent world

Hi,

I want to make a fantasy persistent world that my kids can play on using a LAN setup. I was wondering if there were any mods, or closed worlds that are available for down load to use as a basis to start creating a new world?

A long time ago I released a modified version of Realms of Netheria ( Hack n slash with TONS of customizations, required database support). I also released a clean base module with plenty of integrated systems, also required database support.
