Char0420
I've installed/unzipped etc Lock Bash mod via NexusModManager and I've put the required script into the right file but I'm still unable to 'bash' open locked doors or chests in my game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times to try and get it to work with no luck, all other mods I've downloaded work and I've looked to see if anything should be conflicting but can't seem to see anything. Is there something I might have done wrong? Can anyone help with this problem?
Thandal
This mod is packaged as two separate ".dazip" files. The NMM doesn't know how to handle that sort of thing. (I have a similarly packaged mod of my own, the Ancient Elven Boots Fix.)Download manually and install by following the author's instructions.
Char0420
I;m new to modding so when you say two seperate dazip what does that mean? would i have to go into the file section and just download the first one?
Thandal
After you download this file, (MANUALLY) you then have to extract the archive contents, which will be TWO ".dazip" files. (If you don't know what to do with compressed files, read the notice that pops-up on the Nexus download screen.) Then just follow the author's instructions.
Char0420
Where would i find the archive contents?
Thandal
The "archive" is the file you download from this site.In this case, that would be a file named: "Lock Bash v7e for Original and Awakening-301.7z". The ".7z" at the end is your clue that this is a file containing one-or-more compressed "real" files that you will need to extract in order to have the actual mod. There are several utilities designed to handle compressed files, (aka "file archives") the best known of which is probably "WinZip", but "7-zip" is a more recent contender. Not sure what I just said? Google is your friend.

Thandal
Yes, I think you need to remove whatever you've done with this mod and; 1. Download the ".7z" file from the Nexus2. Extract the ".dazip" file using an appropriate utility program3. Install it following the author's instructions
