how do you use FO new vegas mods?

i dont know how to set the mods up to run on the game

Okay, let me see if I can shed a little light on this for you. When you download most mods here, what you'll get is a zipped file. When you extract the contents of the zipped file, you usually get a .esp file. Right-click that .esp file, copy it, and minimize the folder you're in. Go to my computer, and open the C drive. Go to program files, (If you have Win7 64bit like me, it'll be Program Files(x86)) and open the folder named Bethesda Softworks. Inside will be the Fallout New Vegas install folder. Open it, and then open the folder named Data, and paste the .esp file in. Minimize this folder, too, and then start the FalloutNV launcher, and go to Data Files. Place a check mark next to the mod, and click okay. Now, run the game, and the mod should be present. Hope this helps.

Place any requred .esp files in your "(FNV Install Folder) \ data" folder

If there are any extra meshes/textures then copy them (they will copy in to the correct file path)

Run launcher

Click "Data Files"

Select mods you want to run (make sure main .esm is ticked)

Click OK

Run game
