mazlo
After I installed Nevada Skies, I noticed an issue with lighting where a small area will be very dark and then become fully bright after walking closer. It's difficult to explain so please look at the images:Dark (one step away)http://i.imgur.com/vKGTVl.jpgLight (moved just one step closer)http://i.imgur.com/fwvCVl.jpg A more extreme example:Darkhttp://i.imgur.com/YCRzJl.jpgLight (moved cursor slightly to the right)http://i.imgur.com/lYyWxl.jpg This doesn't only occur with Nevada Skies enabled, it happens with vanilla Fallout New Vegas as well, but it's less noticeable since everything is brighter. Does anyone know any settings I could change or mods I could try that might fix this issue? I appreciate any help since this problem is really distracting for me. lanceuppercut47
bringing this thread back from the dead, but i get this as well, any solutions out there for this?
GothikaGeist
There is absolutely no fix for this. That is the "default" floor of the game world, which cannot reflect light. The game engine causes this, there is no fix, the only "fix" is to switch game engines, which is impossible for any modder, and probably illegal. lanceuppercut47
aw thats a shame, least i now know there is nothing that can be done, it was a bit hard to describe and took ages to find this post as it was a similar problem :) can only hope fallout 4's engine (uses the skyrim one, right?) plays a lot better.. GothikaGeist
Unfortunately though, they are still gonna do the same mistake as last time: Use an engine for a MELEE game to create a SHOOTING game.
lanceuppercut47
i actually wouldn't mind if they made melee a bit better in fallout, mate who played obliv says combat is lacking stuff that probably should've made it into fallout. eg, they have shields in obliv and of course that wouldn't fit into fallout lore, doesn't stop you picking up a tattered street sign or similar and using that as a makeshift riot shield.. never played obliv so can't comment :)
