Need Help With Wrye Bash 287

I have played Oblivion a few times and used some modes, but I want to get deeper into it

So I want to try things like FCOM - OOO - MMM

Read the FCOM site I download all the mods - and then use Wrye Bash

Here is where I am lost

1) Some of the settings I need to "Bash Patch" but I am not sure how to

I open Wrye Bash and right click on the listed item and select Mark Mergeable - but then what?

Also - so lines are coming up in a pinkish color - and the bottom shows Mod should be imported and deactivated - but when I do the import there are a dozen things there - what should I import?

 

Any help on these I would appriciate

First you need to upgrade to Wrye Bash 290, the most recent stable version. Also read the ReadMe file included in the archive you download. It's an HTML file in the Mopy folder.

 

Then the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide for Newbies is a good place to start.

 

Other than that look around the various forums for more info. I know I have posted plenty of Wrye Bash info here on TESNexus, as have many other posters. Also check the BethSoft Official Threads for info.

 

TESIVPOSItive is an excellent resource as well.

 

There is no quick, all inclusive, easy way to learn Wrye Bash. The Pictorial Guide for Newbies is the closest you'll get to that. It's a good starter kit. Other than that you just have to put the time and effort in to learn it. After you grasp the basics everything will start to click and you'll do fine.
