Alcrin
XP Service Pack 3, 32-bit. I get a strange problem; When Oblivion crashes, it locks up my entire screen with whatever was on screen at the time of the crash. I know windows is still ticking underneath, as pressing the power button shuts down the computer as normal. Is there any way to get my screen back without a reboot? You could try the following procedure (if Oblivion is still running but hung up):- CTRL/ALT/DEL (to open the Task manager, even though you can't see it), followed by;"O" (To select Oblivion.exe in the running processes), followed by;<Alt>"E" (To select 'End' -- you should hear a sound cue at this point if it worked), followed by;Press 'Enter' You probably need to explore why your game is crashing, though
Alcrin
Sorry for the delayed response, but I was waiting for a crash to happen again. It works! Thank you very much.
