New "dungeons" - underground installations etc.

Every day I browse "latest files" and "top 100 of all time" it's hard to find any mod that adds new locations (except of player house mods) to discover. What do you think about a mod that adds something like "The Glow" location from Fallout 1. I am an old die-hard Fallout fan and I would love to see some scary s*** like I saw in The Glow. That place was perfect. Of course we aren't restricted to only Glow-like locations, I've got many ideas, an uderground CIA prison with a lot of interesting story-telling, well-hidden entrance to an uderground science facility with some genetic expreriments (who said they didn't have those in the Mojave Wasteland), half-collapsed nuclear silo, a personal vault of a high-ranking VIP and so on and so on. I guess the sky is the limit here.

The *main* question is - could this kind of mods get popular among players? Do they even need something else than new weapons, companions, and hot naked babes?

I would spend some time creating a mod with an intriguing location to explore and a lot of content in it - but I don't know if it's really wanted by players.

If you want to create a dungeon then go ahead and do it. Don't bother thinking about "gee I wonder how many downloads this will get. It'll be a waste if I don't get at least 5000, etc etc".

If you have ideas then go for it. Level design is fairly easy to learn how to do, although it takes a good bit of practice to learn how to do it easily and to figure out how to make the cells look good aesthetically, have junk etc.

What you are asking for is a quest type mod. And, Yes they are very popular. However they do take quite a bit more time than the simple house mod or weapon mod that is based on a lot of the parts already being available in the GECK. More quest mods will come in time, as more people get familiar with what they can - and cannot do in the Geck.

Why not learn the GECK and take a whack at it yourself. There are plenty of tutorials and you can get lots of help here.
