Adding Weapons with Mod Kits

Wondering if anyone can help me with the problem I am having please.

So I downloaded Dreadwolf's 1911 mod and am trying to add it onto a mod on my own in GECK. What I am trying to do is replace the preorder 10mm pistol with the 1911. That worked, so I replaced all the Mod Models (that were ! boxes)

with the downloaded 1911 ones in the mod tab. So now in game the effects work, but the models don't show up I have added all three mods (ext mag, silencer and LAM) but the model looks exactly the same. Even though it holds 12 (originally eight) and is silent.

Is there something special I have to do to get this to work or is the preorder 10mm wonky like this? Guess I could try it on a diff weapon, or if worse comes to worse just start off with a nice looking 10mm pistol that isn't modable.

thanks

you have to make the models for the mods

basically, in the mod tab, you will have several boxes for all the combinations of the mods

so you have to make sure that each box has it's model, for the game to use these new models

i hope my explanation isn't too hard to understand

and if you need any help, you are welcome to ask :)

Yeah did that already. I found the (1stPreorder10mm_______ ) models in the geck that were exclaimation boxes and added the models (1, 2, 3, 1-2, 1-3 etc) because they were already in the mod tab and added the models there. I also tried creating a new set of models but using the naming scheme of the files (DW1911 etc)

It still isn't working which has me puzzled

But thanks for the response.

well, if you want an easier way out, maybe if you open the GECK and load the starter pack you want to change AND the plugin Dreadwolf made (of the 1911 pistol) and just change the 10mm to be like the 1911 pistol (change the models to the exact paths dreadwolf used) maybe then it will work

of course, you will need to have these two as the plugins' masters, but i'm sure it is no problem at all
