Help: female guards with male faces?

Hi all, I love the game, and have just discovered all the mods available, and I am in awe of the amount of ideas, creativity and talent that the community offers. This is an odd first post, but I am hoping someone can help me with this issue: my game is currently running the female guards with male face textures (female hair however)....I searched thoroughly (or think I have), but haven't come up with anything either in the forum or on the web.

Other than that, my game runs solid, and I've used OBMM and Wrye bash to work through other issues, but this one has me stumped... It doesn't affect the game, or gameplay, .... but it's just a little creepy. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

female guards with male face textures

Yeah... oblivion doesn't seperate female and male face textures - they're both the same. If your females have beards, thats perfeclty normal in oblivion :wallbash:

If you want faces in general to look better, try Natural Faces

If this problem didn't exsist before, you mgiht have installed a mod that altered faces / face textures. Try going to your load order to see if there's any mod there that might do that.

Also, avoid installing a lot of mods at the same time (modding is an unstable, hard, annoying, teethbreaking progress that im hard-addicted to) and read the readme's :)

Thanks to you both for the replies. Today (awesome sig by the way...funny as hell...my finger hurts now though), good hear that it's not too serious...just odd that I never noticed until recently. I have a few mods that might be the cause (colourwheel's sexy npc's, ren's beauty pack...). I used BOSS to order the list, but it might take some tweaking. And I agree, the mods are addictive, but they add so much more to the game.

fore, I guess that is the issue. Like Today said, I guess it is some of my installed mods that might the issue. When you say the OBSE function, "con_sexchange", is this something that is done by the mods, or something that would have to be inputed manually?

Anything put in through the console.. .Well, the console is like the player's hand of god, it's where you enter cheats- you know it right?. One of you OBSE dependant mods could be using that line of code, the only way to really find that out is by manually deactivating everything and manually reactivating.

I check colourwheel's (it couldnt be ren's since it doesnt tweak vanilla NPCs) but it doesnt seem to be able to cause this. If you happen to have OOO or another mod similar to it instlled, it might be adding NPCs with "lesser looks" to your game. If that turns out to be the problem, the only way to solve it is through tweaking faces yourself in the cs ;p

(And thank you, writing up that sig cost me 15 minutes. Longest time spend on writing sig evar ;D)

Cheers for the advice...I'll start having "fun" turning off, and then reactivating to see what comes of it. Sorry for the late reply, been nursing a nasty cold.
