Crashing During Looting

So, I recently re-installed Skyrim to experience it with a number of mods that weren't around last time I played (which was long, long ago). After some... interesting experiences with the carriage ride into Helgen (caused because I forgot to disable Helgen Reborn prior to starting a new game), I started playing the game in earnest.

 

Unfortunately, at random times while looting something I'll experience a CTD. This only occurs while looting, and appears to have nothing whatsoever to do with the thing being looted or what it contains, as the crash will sometimes occur prior to the looting interface opening and sometimes after and if I save prior to looting something occasionally I'll crash, reload the save, and then loot the same thing and it won't crash. It isn't due to actually picking up any items - it's not a body mod issue because A. I haven't installed any and B. it doesn't occur just when looting armor. It isn't due to SkyUI's looting menu, because I've disabled that and it still occurs. It isn't due to SafetyLoad, because I haven't used it. It may be a load order issue, but after both manual load order manipulation and using LOOT nothing has changed.

 

This CTD isn't fixed to a single NPC - as mentioned, if I kill someone, save, and then loot, sometimes it'll crash and sometimes it won't. However, it seems to affect some more than others (not NPC types, but specific generic NPCs/bodies of NPCs). Specifically, if I crash when looting something and have a very recent save, if I do the same thing I'll crash much more often than if I were just out and about murdering things at random. It's not guaranteed, though - a lot of the time I'll kill, save, loot, crash, load, loot, and not crash, too.

 

I've plopped out the Papyrus log files and they don't indicate anything wrong - the crash doesn't seem to have anything to do with any of the entries in it, and will usually occur minutes after the last entry listed. Usually, though, I'll see all the errors the log file stores when Frostfall does its compatibility checks, then a small set of errors for mainline Skyrim.esm quests that I happen to be on at the moment, and then my crash will be minutes after that error message. Sometimes I just get the Frostfall compatibility check errors and then the crash, though. No rhyme or reason.

 

I didn't realize SKSE has log files of its own until just recently and my last close didn't crash, so I haven't checked to see what it says. I'll check that next time this occurs, which will probably be within 30 minutes to an hour of loading the game again. EDIT: Turns out the SKSE log file is useless as well; no errors or anything similar, just notes on when things are loaded or saved.

 

Any help/insight would be appreciated.

It's an issue with Helgen reborn I believe as I began having the same issue when I installed the mod and it ceased when I uninstalled.

The random crashes were worth it to me though because the mod is absolutely wonderful otherwise. So I've since reinstalled it and have just been saving before I loot anyone.
