Refresh rate override?

Sup TES board.

Wondering if there's any way of changing the refresh rate of the monitor in Oblivion? My monitor handles 1024x768 at 120Hz just fine (which is what I want to use), but in-game all I get is 60 (even though Catalyst CC and everything is set to use 120Hz everywhere). I know of quite a few who say stuff like "zomg nub why do you want high hz, it's not a shooter". Well, for those of you who believes refresh rate is not a big issue, it is. Refresh rate has a serious impact on all applications you run on your computer. In short terms, higher hertz makes stuff appear sharper when you pan the camera around.

Vsync is active to reduce screen tearing. Among others, I run OOO, Better Cities, All Natural (full versions of all); my fps is just fine. Average in cities: 40-50, average general outdoor areas: 55-60.

This would greatly improve my experience in the world of Oblivion, so I'll gladly accept any thoughts on this :)

Thanks in advance.
