How to make up with Vilified Factions?

I have decided on no longer killing every Powder Ganger i meet, since i am vilified and I am now trying to gain some good Karma with them, is this possible? If it is, is it simply just killing factions they hate that will repair my vilified faction?

well, i am almost sure that even if you are vilified, if you wear their armor, they won't engage in combat with you

so in that case, why not try and do the quests for them??

if you haven't done anything about the correctional facility, you can always go there and start doing the quests for the ones there

there are also other side quests about them, like releasing a few captives from the Legion, which will help you repair your reputation

you can read about the quest here

and if you decide to help the PGs against the NCR in the last part, but still don't want to lose NCR reputation, i think that if you don't have any companion, and use a stealth boy, you will be able to leave without the need to engage any of the troops there (it is probably rather obvious, but still thought it was worth mentioning)

Cool, thanks for the info! I hope it works. I was thinking of Carrying some faction armors with me, especially the light weight ones. I think if i wear it when im robbing an opposing faction, the karma loss does not affect their reputation with me right?

The 'escaped convicts' in one of the vaults near Goodsprings seem to belong to the same faction, but offered me their quests even though I was villified. You might be able to get some positive karma there by helping them, but not sure if it'll be enough. When people outright hate you, in most cases it's pretty impossible for them to trust you again.
