Who else wants to add Hitler to the game?

Or we could add a band of neo-nazis to the wasteland. They don't need to be German or anything, but they probably got the idea from reading a book about Nazis or Hitler. They'd dress in Feldgrau variants of the NCR fatigues and wear shoddy steel helmets styled to look like the Stahlhelm.

They'd also be preaching about the purity of the master race (Americans, this time), the killing of all mutants, ghouls, as well as anyone who disagrees with them or involves themselves with mutants.

Oh wait, that last part was about the Enclave. Never mind.

Maybe not Hitler himself, but I'd like nazi uniforms. Don't get me wrong on this one, but I think if there was a WW2 Fashion contest, the germans would've won. Damn, they knew how to design uniforms, tanks, insignias, weapons and s*** :) But remember that everyone who fought for germany weren't nazis, just common people, like you and me, drafted. So yeah, what about nazi zombies (ghouls) or something, like Chinese ghoul remnants? But I would like to talk to them or something, not having them hostile from the start, and maybe a quest involving them. Not necessarily working for the nazis, but maybe for some prospector or someone who has found some underground bunker in a cave deep under the ground, and can't crack the code to the terminal, and the blast door has weird ancient symbols and writing in an unknown language.

Then inside you can uncover the mystery of having 300+ years old nazi ghouls in an underground bunker on american soil. Maybe one of their nuclear reactor bursted, and they became ghouls.

Then it would also be fun if you we're escorted by guards to speak to the führer, and you we're told to wait outside because he was in an important meeting, and you hear inside how he's yelling on his officers like in that scene from the movie Der Untergang which is so famous on the internet :P

And then you can decide the fate of them all, as the end of the quest, by gasing them all! Like som fail-safe you can hack and activate that will kill all the inhabitants with the gas Zyklon D (yes, an upgrade). For the irony, you know? :P (talking about irony, did you know it was a jew who invented Zyklon B?)

Hopefully, you can get your hands on some ancient weapons, and even prototypes which they've been developing after the war for 300+ years, so they could have invented some completly new kind of energy weapon, and they'd think they are the first since there were no energy weapons when they locked themselves inside this vault after they fled germany in '45 (the vault would have been built in USA during or before the war, probably by american nazi-supporters and insider workers.)

If I had the molding skill necessary I would set up a mini adventure. Something for higher level characters.

The courier is lounging in the Tops.

A person rushes in and says strange men are have been attacking his village and the help of the famous courier is needed. The courier goes to the village. Turns out they are being menaced by SS troopers. Hitler makes an appearance in the village and the courier and SS battle. The courier is forced to withdrawal but conducts a guerilla war against the SS.

After a series of battles the courier forces Hitler back to a bunker. There is found time travel equipment. The courier kills all the SS and then subdues Hitler. He then figures out the time travel equipment and sends Hitler back to his 1945 bunker. Then the courier puts a gun in Hitler’s mouth and shoots him. Thereby preserving the timeline. Courier goes back to his time and returns to NV and takes the tops for 5000 caps at blackjack.

This was a fast little idea and not complete but something like this could be fun. Without time travel or perhaps cloning there is no way to hook up Hitler and the Courier.

I like that idea, its got some good ideas in there, but in Fallout things don't have to make sense you know?

In Fallout dogmeat is way too old to still be alive, as well as had several masters.

Plus if you know what a special encounter is then its self explanitory. =P

I love the idea of time traveling and killing hitler like he was in history, Thats a very good idea!

Thanks simplywayne90.

In Fallout a lot of things don't make sense :)

I like all the 200 year old food and drink! Man 200 year old mac and cheese gotta be the worst!

And where are all the drill instructors at McCarran? The place is a dump and the kitchen should be condemed. The military is about order and every soldier should be cleaning up the place when the bullets are not flying. And their haircuts? Wow. But it is a game so a lot of slack is given.

I love the entire time travel thing. It gives you a lot to think about. I hope someone with skills at moding takes this up. I am available for writing support to flesh out how things can go. I have not done a lot with Geck. Mostly editing values of armor mods to more realistic levels. I have no animation experience so the uniforms would be some one else’s baby.

Let me know if you are up for it.

Well I'll support tyou creatively as well, I have tried to mod on my own many times but I've ended up having to always rely on others to make my ideas possible. At the moment I'm trying to build a special encounters mod that recreates the classic fallout parodies in the new games. It's been eating up a lot of my time.

I been wanting a little house south east of the the clinic and crimson caravan. So maybe I will put some time in on building that then work up to proper time travel bunker. I noticed there are now mods for a SS General and officeers. Hope to see common troops soon.

Simplywayne90 I noticed you release that mod. I will have to check it out.

Maybe at some point if I make progress on the geck we can work on this together. I think the mod I have planned in my head is far beyond my ability though but you never know it might be easier than I think. Using object orintated programming techniques might make it far easier.

Well I haven't released it yet, as its still in early development and will take some time since we are basically restoring an entire piece of the game back in.

But hopefully you will be able to help me with it on other ideas, then after we release a "base" version of it, then we can circle round' to this idea and add it in.

Yeah I've made sure not to release anything too soon, as my community mod will (hopefully) become the inspiration and basis of a whole new type of mods.

Right now we're kind of stalled out as I need someone to make a few generic exterior areas in a seperate worldspace from the main game.

And we're waiting on TallGeese as hes the best scripter I know who can do the job.

But still I'm glad your looking forward to it.
