Hey everyone i am Uks, i am have modded in heaps of games before and they worked but the last three days i've been trying to get these mods to work on Oblivion but for some reason i can't. i put the EPS. files on in the data folder and the other folders that come with the mod. e.g textures, meshes. whatnot. and then i start the game and tick the mods off, then when i get into the game, nothing has changed and nothing it working

 

idk what problems this could be and i have watched many videos but i can't seem to work it :(

if someone could tell me what i am doing wrong or something i need to add to the steps i would be happy :)

for the most part i just leave the meshes and the textures in the file that they came in... everything works out fine for me.

maybe thats your problem

 

by the way would you happen to know if patches affect mods? would my mods be deleted if i downloaded unofficial patches?

i want a patch but idk if it will delete my mod.

no sorry i am only new to the Oblivion scene.

 

and i have kept them into their folders mate. ok well when i xtract the mod i open up and drag everything but the read me into Data and then run

What specific mods have you downloaded that aren't working? Some mods don't show their stuff until you're a certain level. Others integrate their stuff into leveled lists, so it takes a while before you run across it. Others put things in dungeons, shops or other places for you to find.

 

Also, if you're using Windows Vista/Windows 7, the UAC will interfere with mods if you have Oblivion installed in the Program Files directory. Read this article for more information on that.

Hello there.

I had the same problem a long time ago and let it be said that you HAVE to patch Oblivion to the most recent version for most newer mods to work, otherwise the content will simply refuse to show up in your game. Go to the official Bethesda website and patch your game.
