Extra PERMANENT Quickslot bar

Recommended Posts

I am hoping that one of you talented scripters out there can make a 2nd quickslot bar that stacks above or below the original. basically 2 rows instead of just one. I imported a mage to DAA from DAO and have run out of slots on the bar. If a permanent 2nd bar is doable please make it optional locking also!

Im not looking for one to swap out item sets, just need 2 bars stacked...

...just a thought...

Yes, entering "Quick" as the search term on the Files page brings up four Quickbar mods, including "Advanced Quickbar", which is the one with four different bars (and is the only one not tied to the weapon set slots.)

I'm guessing that the game itself makes "stacked" bars impossible, or someone would have done it.

While I completely and TOTALLY agree that it would be AWESOME to have additional bars available on the screen.... there's a hitch.

The UI for this game is SERIOUSLY hard to crack. Thats one of the reasons why we can't get additional team members available, cause we (the da modding community) hasn't figured out how to make the additional spots show up in the UI, or how to get the UI to recognize them as full blown members of the team.

I've seen some mods that change very small factors of the UI. Like a mod that changes some of the colors around for colorblind people, and mods that let you cycle thru the bars, but have yet to see anybody that's been able to make drastic changes to it :(

Gnome- I understand that you're trying to figure out a way to get extra members of the party on your team. I understand where you're coming from.

But, the slots for summoned creatures have their limitations, due to the programming of the UI. The game engine. Those summoned creatures slots don't support Humanoid figures, nor their skills. The AI for summoned creatures, will not instigate humanoid AI's, only those of the creatures which it is programmed to do.

Like has been said before.... the community has been trying to accomplish the means by which to add more party members. So far, nobody has come up with a solution that works. Aside from adding that member via console command, which is really limited in functionality.

the Advanced Quickbar is good. and if you open you skill menu and drag the 2 arrows into slots 1 and 2, you can use 1 and 2 to cycle through your bars and that leaves 3-0 for hotkeys, that's a total of 24 hotkeys.

edit: my maths skills suck at the moment, i meant 32 hotkeys

also, your bars are labeled 0, 2, 3 and 4. Put all your most common talents/spells on bar 0. there is a minor glitch that make the bar display 0 when you cross load screen. It doesn't undo anything. but it's a minor annoyance if your most frequently used talents are on another bar.

that way i usually organise my talents (i usually play an AW) is to put my offence on 0, potions/grenades on 2, sustainables on 3.

I can not recall what it is called but I'm presently using a mod that shows about 3 rows of quickbar. The trouble is it does reduce the portion of the screen you need to see around you. Personal opinion I know, but I think I'd recommend being able to quickly change the items you can see & select, as the better alternative.
