enclave1488 Posted November 23, 2010 Share Posted November 23, 2010 Hey, So I was running around FNV, enjoying Nevada Skies Special Theme "Silent Hill" weather effect and I thought to myself: "Would it not be sick to stumble across enemies from Silent Hill, like the creepy nurses and the freaky demon-looking children and those other messed up looking bodies with legs sticking out from the torso etc....?"And I think, yes! So I was wondering if anyone out there with the talent, time and resources, would be interested in making such a mod that brings those type of enemies to FNV?Mart's Mutant Mod for F3 brought some pretty crazy creatures to the D.C wasteland and Zulufoxtrot's Zombie Apocalypse brought hungering undead to F3 and FNV, I am sure someone would be able to bring Silent Hill enemies to FNV. Anyways, I hope to see some replies and hopefully from someone that will think: "Hey! Having a "silent hill" mode (maybe as some sort of quest?), which wouldn't just add the monsters, but it would actually remove all standard NPCs, leaving the wasteland completely void of life, like some sort of corrupted alternate dimension. The only things you would find would be the Silent Hill monsters. Interiors would be wrecked and gory, standard SH stuff. Even with my nonexistent modding skills, I can tell creating a system that constantly replaced them, switching you back and forth would take a massive amount of effort. IMO, something like that could be a one-way trip, where players would be given a warning, so they could save and such, before stepping through the doorway/portal that would trigger the change. That is even a greater idea and Nevada Skies' Special Theme Silent Hill could trigger the switch between normal looking wasteland to a industrial-like looking wasteland like in Silent Hill 1, when day turned to night and the area all around morphed into a industrial-type landscape.I hope more people read this and someone really considers the idea to get started on something like this, preferably even a team of modders. The Walking Dead I managed to get Hell Creatures ported to my FNV and joined the mod together with Zombie Apocalypse.Made it so that all three Mutant monsters from that mod are part of the zombie faction and renamed them to Zombified Mutant Executor, Flesh-Gorger and Spleenripper and re-worked their stats and what weapons they use ( which I basically gave them all chainsaws, the model that came in Toca's mod anyways )Took me several hours, but I tested it and all spawn-points work.The three hell creatures are quite a challenge along with the zombies, yet balanced for good game-play experience.I'll shoot a video tomorrow and post it on youtube, so you can see it.Since it ain't my mod, I can't upload it on nexus, but I'm sure Toca would not mind if I'd send my ported version per email to those who would really want his mod for FNV.Not sure if he is still around, but hopefully he is, because it be cool if he created a few additional creatures based on Silent Hill monsters.
