Construction Set Error

I've been using the construction set for years now with no issues, but as of yesterday it started doing something odd, and even though I reinstalled it twice it won't stop doing it.

When I make changes to a file, and go to save, an error message pops up that reads, "unable to complete operation due to failure removing previous file. Temp file remains." No matter which Mod I try to access and alter it does this, and it isn't allowing me to save changes to anything, which renders the CS completely useless.

I am running the most current version of the CS with Vista...not sure if that has anything to do with it, but like I said, strange thing is I've never had problems 'till yesterday. If anyone knows what's up, the help would be appreciated. :D

I had that problem too once. Vista solution: ALWAYS boot up the CS with administrator rights, meaning you have to right click the desktop icon and activate "run/start as administrator". Otherwise Vista won't let you save anything you change.

Okay thank you so much. I don't remember every having to do that before but it makes sense since I have to do that with Mod Manager too >.< Imma go test it.

Edit:

Okay I am running it as Admin and something new it happening that is causing the CS to crash, it says "Unable to load CTL file," then, "Unable to load the atmosphere model," then, "Unable to load stars" all in seperate promp menus. Then it goes through this long sequence of trying to load, and then it dies XD. I don't know if running as Admin just didn't work, or made the issue worse...
