SpellAndShield
and there is a lot of stuff, including DA mods from the nexus that I don't want to have to reinstall, piece by piece. Would an external hard drive allow me to just basically plug them all in via the USB port? Also, what is the purpose of an external hard drive? Fumofumo
Well, generally they do exactly what you say. You plug them in with a USB connector and you can store files on it. It is like a normal hard drive, except you can move it around and plug it into other computers and such. Some might have a power adapter, some don't. Really depends on which one you buy, but they all do the same thing. Most people use it to store backups of their files and or movies and such. Not much else to say about them.. Although you can still install games to an external drive, and run them from an external drive, this is usually not a good idea since the load speed is limited by the speed of your USB connection.
