Wrye Bash - Import Help

A few things here that I am lost on with Wrye Bash:

Yes, I have all the latest and greatest - so it's working.

But I'm not sure I understand a few things here:

1) I have mods in Wrye Bash that say: Mod should be imported and deactivated - so what does this mean and how to do it?

2) A few mods (like from Cobl) that say: One or more masters are missing

3) How do I determine which mods should be merged; and how can I "unmerge" mods

Any help would be great!

In addition to Smooth's suggestions, you should download, install and run BOSS to see if it will fix your missing masters problem - if it does not then one of your mods was not installed correctly or depends on another mod you don't have.

that i s in most cases correct however if it is a {{BASH:Filter}} mod then if merged into the bashed patch it is fine (specifically thinking in this case of the COBL FILTER MERGE ONLY Patch (IIRC the name correctly)).

in regards to techgeek42's questions:

1. that means select the mod in any import * section that it is in that you desire its features (in most cases all - mianly optional is for example names is very much personal preferences) in the bashed patch build dialogue and leave the mod file itself NOT active.

3. if they are mergeable they'll show up in the merge patches section of the buiild patch dialogue (and in most cases you should select them there in that case) - if you don't want to merge a modfile just don't select them there and rebuild the patch.
