Revolving Rifles

Sorry if this has already been suggested or released, I've looked through most of the files and much of the forums and didn't see anything relating to this.

 

 

Anyway, I don't care what the stats are, I'd just like to see some revolving rifles in New vegas. I don't really mind if they do or don't resemble any real life models, I just like the idea. Some ideas could be found on the wiki page of a Colt model here. I'm not going to add any other details because I'd like it to be as simple as possible for anyone who considers it.

I'm also aware that you can't really add animations to NV, from what I understand, you can only edit existing animations. I assume a revolver animation would be close enough, and I don't really mind, I expect already that the animations will be ugly as sin.

 

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would thank you for the release of a revolving rifle mod.

 

 

I may try doing it myself, but I'm new to the Geck altogether. I just started making simple mods and I haven't gotten past adding things like BB guns that shoot a couple hundred baseballs or spears, and things like that which are just a simple modification to the existing weapon. I'd have to model it, which I'm terrible at, I've tried in 3DSMAX before, and find some guides for putting everything together in the Geck.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On a side note, since I don't want to spam the forums with things like this, how would I go about adding an item in NV to the projectiles list? Don't ask why, but for whatever reason, I really want to make a BB gun that shoots pickup trucks. Is there any way I could carry over a file or something to add the truck to the projectile list? I already know where the trucks are in the GECK if that helps.

Just to make sure we are clear, you mean a rifle with a revolver firing chamber like a six shooter? Not revolving barrels like a mini gun, right?

 

Just off the top of my head you can use Nifscope to remove and replace parts of a gun model with other gun parts from other gun models.

I would suggest using a revolver to base your gun off of that way you already have the animations for the ammo chamber and all you need to do is add a stock, extend the barrel, and add a hand guard under the barrel.

 

Hell I might try this for my next project, Im trying to learn all I can with modding fallout, and this would be a good teaching session on modeling.
