Flemming
So, been playing Fallout 3 for about a week now (late to the party as usual). I recently installed some mods to spice up the game a bit. However, since yesterday, I've been having CTDs when trying to vendor items. Doesn't seem to matter what vendor, though it doesn't appear to happen with all items, usually ammo (shotgun shells) or some kind of med item (psycho/jet in particular). The crash occurs when I click Accept to complete the transaction. My current mod list is as follows. Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm BrokenSteel.esm . Bashed Patch tag suggestion: {{BASH: Actors.AIPackages}} PointLookout.esm Zeta.esm Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm . Bashed Patch tag suggestion: {{BASH: Deflst,Delev,Relev,Factions,Invent,Names,Relations,Stats}} CALIBR.esm 20th Century Weapons.esm Mart's Mutant Mod.esm . Those were all removed, but I'm wondering if data from them made something screwy. If there's any other info I can add, say so, and thank you. Flemming
Well, update here ... I tried removing the game and reinstalling it to a new location ... but the problem still persists, more aggressively now. It doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason, but sooner or later when vendoring items, whether many or a few, the game with CTD as soon I press accept to sell the items. I'm at wits end here, folks. Ainene
I'm not that good with load orders or the mods your trying to use. but have you tried using FO3edit? Fallout Mod Manager's Load Order? BOSS?it feels like you have to fix your load order and make a merge update or a master update (quite easy with FO3edit) You can manually arrange your load order with Fallout Mod Manager. I heard it has even a good automatic load sorter. I havnt tried it I myself use boss and then manually order my mods.
Burnagirl
Ainene's advice is perfect, try FOMM and it's Load Order.
Flemming
So, did all that was suggested, and was still having CTDs when vendoring stuff. So, I sat down and started vendoring stuff one by one to see if it was one specific item that was causing the crashes. Turns out it was the live iguanas from MMM. Everything else could be vendored fine. So I enabled the 'No Iguanas' module, and vendoring is fine now. HOWEVER ... I have run into a new problem. Should I start a new topic, or keep everything here?

Whenever my character is killed and the game goes to the loading screen, it actually never loads from my last save point, it hangs there and does not continue. Ainene
Thank you ... it's something completely different. Whenever my character is killed and the game goes to the loading screen, it actually never loads from my last save point, it hangs there and does not continue. That's diffently a MOD unless you got save crashes. (which I don't believe you have)did it happend before you touched the load order or after? Also if you want to test, Try and load your last save. make a backupsave. clean your entire inventory. make a new save (it's better if you just open console and write "save thisismytestsave" so you know you shouldn't use this save when you start playing again.after that you start disable mods 1 by 1 and see if the same thing happens. that way you can find the problem faster than playing around with load order since you mostly use big mods. AFTER you found the problematic modyou try 1. throw in the trash bin. (if you don't care about it that is)2. You try to get your load order work with it. by either placing the problematic mod earlier(up) or later(down) (I think it usually fixes with later since later mod's are the "value" they use)Also do note that might get new errors with that since the best way to fix such problems are with Merge Patch. BUT ofcourse it won't fix problems the "mod" itself has. so you will still need to update mods if they are outdated
