Savage117 Posted November 25, 2010 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Id like a mod where no matter what weapon you give ED-E she equips and uses it just like the other companions do. For example: I give her a 10mm pistol ED-E will equip and fire 10mm ammo at the same damage and fire rate as the gun thats equiped, but it doesnt need to show on its model, id just like some veriety in her weapon system. syphek Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 ed-e should get equipped with a rocket launcher :) just throw a tube mounted slightly inside her on the bottom, and carve away the excess to make a kind of recessed tube that would blend in nicely and a-boom she goes. maybe a recoil effect on her too, so she fires and gets shot back, it would be funny Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Granted, ED-E has his wimpy little laser, but if I were designing this mechanism, I would also include a modular weapons system, whereby I could change the combat load-out according to the tactical situation. This could most easily be done by giving ED-E a custom weapon, with custom ammo and ammo list, and a large variety of custom ammunition types (buckshot, gyrojet rounds (basically miniature rockets), standard solid rounds, AP, Pulse, etc.), with his default laser as emergency weapon in case of ammo depletion. To do that, you'll need to create a new ammo type with lots of different variations, and an ammo list with all the variants and a round that does the same damage as his default attack, with a laser projectile. Then modify his dialogue to include a script to change ammo and the dialogue options needed, maybe slap on a little more armor or an extra attitude-control jet for that extra maneuverability, and you're good to go.
