New and inept

Hi all. I'm new to the Forums. I play ... Oblivion, pretty much only Oblivion. You guys brought it back to life for me. Played it to death on 360, heard from a friend about this site and the mods available, got it for PC, got a new PC for it, started downloading mods like mad. Every time I got one to work, I felt like I was a genius!!!! (While actually knowing the real geniuses were you guys.) The mods breathed new life into the game for me and gave me my hobby back.

 

I'm a Dungeons and Dragons DM from way back, and a sci-fi and fantasy novelist currently shopping around a finished sci-fi novel and a finished fantasy novel (no plugs here, don't worry). I joined the forum to seek help when my companions (in game) suddenly started keeling over with no explanation (posted this in the tech support thread today) and am really hoping someone will see that post and help me out with that (probably noobishly foolish) question.

 

I will start endorsing the mods I have played and loved as soon as I figure out how to do that (and if I'm allowed to, and what not)

 

I'm not a programmer and I have no artistic sense whatsoever, so I will probably not be making mods. I am a writer, however, and would love to make friends with and maybe partner up with a designer to develop some kick-ass story based mods for everyone (I write, we co-plot, you code) some time down the road. Nice to meet everybody.
