lordkatana
Hello everyone, I've recently downloaded TES-CS. I've done some tutorial stuff, and I think i'm ready to make a mod. After searching for a good mod, I've come to the idea of making a quest for finding the sword of Truth(based on a book by Terry Goodkind) I've done some research and added some files on the SoTruth. Now the thing is, I think i'm going in way over my capabilities.I think i need some help on making this one, for my knowledge isn't as large as i thought it was.I'm pretty good on retexturing, but my scripting is very bad. I'd like to add a script to the sword as described in the doc (what is the sword of truth) If someone would like to help me on this mod, I'll gladly provide more info. mnkyslut
Open up someone else's script from any mod and look at the structure of it. Then hit up the CS wiki and find the functions you want to use. Link the script to your object and - viola - it should be a great start. Just play with it, post your script here (so as the rest of us can help you fix it). It'll be most rewarding if you can learn to script, even a little on your own. I don't know what kind of script you need, but as long as it's not a super complicated script that you completely copy, you could take it from another mod. If it is complicated or unique in some way, you should ask for permission (even though most people will accept, it's best to ask first).
