Won't Install

Hello there, well, I have a problem with my Fallout New Vegas.

Whenever I try to play it, (after I have installed it) I get an error message saying: Steam Error Application load error 5:0000065434.

What do I do? I heard someone say that you have to activate it online or something and go onto steam and right click it, properties, and then something else.

 

Ps. I have Fallout: New Vegas installed and steam installed and when I go into my games library, It doesn't show up, it just says at the top: You have not yet added any games to your library or there are no games matching your current filter. shop in the steam store or choose 'show' another catagory above to display items here.

 

Ps.(again) If it is any help, I have Windows XP.

The game must be installed and activated on line through steam - even the DVD version I have downloaded and installed from steam - (Why bother with a DVD if you are going to force the steam download anyway?)

 

Then you MUST allow steam to install the game in its (steam) default location or steam cannot find it. If you try to install to any other location, It will not work.

 

If you have a pirate version, it will not work with steam. And you are not welcome here.

Ok, If I reinstall it into the steam folder, will it work then? And can you tell me what folder in steam to install it to?

If you use either the on line steam version or the DVD it will automatically install to the right folder in steam - if you have steam installed properly.
