blender problem

hi,

 

im trying to edit the greenberet nif in blender but when i change verticles position in edit mode and come back to object mode the modfication doesnt save. i can delete verticles without any problem, just not modifying them. im hopefully missing something obvious, but what?

 

i tried searching on the net for answer and i only found one thread which didnt contain any fixes, so i thougt my best chance would be to ask here.

 

i have installed all the necessary files to edit nif files in blender and im confident in my setup.

 

installed;

Blender 2.49 - http://www.blender.org/

Python 2.6.6 - http://www.python.org/

ps: i typed this with onscreen keyboard because my KB is unavailable atm.
