problem with BSA archives

i downloaded the akaviri shop mod, but in the mod the texture and meshes are in simple folders, while in the game the meshes and texture folders are BSA files!

So, it is possible with BSA commander to convert the BSA archives that contain textures and meshes in simple folders so that i can simply copy and paste the mode datas in the game? or there is another way to make this mod work?

you don't need to unpack the BSA archives in the game

you can just paste the folders that you have, into the Data folder, and it should read them just fine

assuming (sorry if i am wrong) that you are new to mods, so make sure to use Archive Invalidation, otherwise new items won't show up (well, you will get weird WTF signs instead)

and if you install the mods with OBMM, it is so much easier

if you have any more question, you are welcome to ask

and good luck to you :)

the place lokk perfectly normal just like without the mod! i even used oblivion mod manager to convert the bsa archives of textures and meshes into simple folders and then paste the mod, but nothing cahnged! even the knightly armor mod does'nt work! these shops just don't appear! before you mentioned using oblivion mod manager to install these mods, but how?

the mod manager do not recognize them! i guess that's because hey're not .omod

well, if you have activated the mod, and you don't see any changes at all, then this is strange indeed

you should make sure that the file you are trying to install doesn't have a different structure

meaning that you should have the plugin file (usually esp file) going to the Data folder, and the meshes going to the Data and etc

when you paste it, if you have an existing folder, then you should get a message if you want to merge the folders

if you don't get such a message, then you are not placing the files in the correct place

now, if you want to install an OMOD, or make a mod into an OMOD, you need to open OBMM

on the lower panel, you will see a button called Create, click it

a window will open

in that window, choose Add Archive, and add the archive of the mod (rar, zip, 7zip or such files)

you should see the plugin (or plugins, if the mod has more than one) appearing in the box of that page

if you need to remove some of them (like if you have optional files or choices) you can remove them from the box

when you are done with that, just fill in the details of the OMOD (at the top of the window) you don't have to fill all the boxes, just the info you want to give it

then click Create

after it is created, you should see the OMOD on the right side of the main OBMM window

click it, and click the Activate button

then you should see all the plugins placed in the load order, in the left side of the main OBMM window

than all you have to do is just launch the game (through OBMM of course) and that is it :)

hope this helps
