Armor Mesh editing

Ok, it's been awile since I did this and can't remember how I did it and can't find my tutorial to answer it.

 

 

I am trying to fit an existing outfit to fit new set of breast. I import the "armor" outfit into blender, and it has a body already with it, so I hide everything but the part that needs sculpting. Then I import the edited body (which is the same body the outfit uses) with the bigger breast, then sculpt the outfit until it fits nice over the breast...then I delete the edited body and bones etc that came with it. then un-hide the body that came with the outfit, select all and export. then I copy paste the new nif into the right folder in "mesh" remove the original, then rename the new to the originals name. It shows up in Geck, outfit looks right, but the body shape shows up with body texture colors instead of black, and the game crashes when I try to equip it.
