Im developing a mod that removes a lot of objects from the game, to make the FPS go much higher.

I really need someone that knows how to make an .nif model. the model will be the smallest brown dot you can make.

i will be using that .nif file to replace anything i take it, making it virtually invisible to see making the game run much faster.

Whoever can do this for me, will be credited in the mod BIG TIME. this small spec is crucial to the development of this mod.

So if you can take a bit of time out of your day to make this spec for me, i will be really grateful! like, you just saved my life grateful.

i really need this tiny little file. if you do decide to make it, please make it as tiny as you possibly can.

thanks!

Well, the point kinda is that a small dot isn't even necessariy a solution. I can make you a dot that's 1 micron across but has 2,000,000 triangles and kicks the graphics card in the nuts, for example. The best solution is to not have a mesh to draw at all.

Just get NifSkope, edit some simple nif of your choice (e.g., a cup) and, as I was saying, just delete the actual mesh nodes. Don't worry about being good or not. It's a tree view and you just need to delete nodes in it. It's like deleting directories in Windows Explorer, really.

The models for the objects are pretty low poly as it is. Even a tiny speck might have a similar poly count. Even if the model was just a single face, the game will still load it like everything else, just a bit faster. Moraelin's solution would improve the framerate, but I don't know if you will be able to pick things up very well. Either way, picking through bunches of items will be a pain, both to change their model and to actually use them in-game.
