BornaZar
I've done lots of editing on my EW .ini. After installing a mod that didn't work, I did a "Very integrity of game cache" to remove the mod when I couldn't remove it myself. I then re-installed the PatcherGUI mods I had installed, and put my edited .ini back in the XEW/game/config (or whatever the directory is). However, whenever I play, the game won't use my modified .ini, and just uses the default settings. The .ini hasn't been overwritten or anything, my changes are still in the .ini, but they just aren't applying in game. I've also tried replacing the .ini in "My Games".My PatcherGUI mods seem to work fine. My .ini changes applied before I removed the mod. It's also probably worth noting that the mod I installed did make changes to the .ini, but, again, they worked fine with the mod installed.Any help would be appreciated, thanks. wghost81
From PatcherGUI readme: Enabling ini loading: ===================== PatcherGUI can alter game executable to enable direct loading of DefaultGameCore.ini and DefaultLoadouts.ini. Click "Tools -> Enable ini loading" in program main menu. If game path is correct (see "Making a first step" section above), program will patch current game executable and you'll see "Success!" message. If you'll see an error message, read this file again and make sure you've followed all the instructions carefully. You need to do it once for each install path (EU and EW). Disabling phoning home: ======================= PatcherGUI can disable phoning home (to stop ini files re-downloading and re-writing) by altering game executable. Click "Tools -> Disable phoning home" in program main menu. If game path is correct (see "Making a first step" section above), program will patch current game executable and you'll see "Success!" message. If you'll see an error message, read this file again and make sure you've followed all the instructions carefully. You need to do it once for each install path (EU and EW).
