kato85
Okay, another brain buster for you guys. I've been working on creating a new mod, complete with weapons, a new faction, a quest, etc. For the most part I've taken to modifying existing weapons, mostly consisting of changing stats, names, formids and the like. But there are occasions when I've felt the need to go and edit the texture files. While this generally isn't a problem (I've successfully edited textures for several armors) I am having a problem with the hunting shotgun in particular. The reason being, I can edit the main texture just fine, but then there's the "normal/gloss" texture which is the one giving me issues. My intention was to retexture the shotgun to be more like a Remington Model 870 so more or less black and no wood grain. In most situations I would just use the original normal texture, but the hunting shotgun still has the wood grain present in that texture, so even if I remove it from the "diffuse" texture image, I still get the wood grain from the normal/gloss texture. Is there a way to take the diffuse texture and make it into the gloss texture? A bit confusing maybe.. If anyone can help, greatly appreciative I will be. kato85
And nevermind. After messing around a bit more, I got it to work even better than I expected.
