Spysix
And then I looked too my left and behind a small hill I see a Mole rat pup... I never felt so bad in my gaming experience. Like I killed bambi's mother or something. ` rewardkarma -6000 Edited November 28, 2010 by Spysix
WastelandAssassin
aren't those pups also hostile?? i mean, i know that Bighorners are hostile, but their youngs aren't, so i don't attack them at allbut all the mole rats that i have seen (aside from one unique) are hostile besides, if you were in such a world, and your only way to survive would be to eat Bambi, wouldn't you do that??a little food for thought (kind of a painful pun, i think......) Spysix
Yes the pup shows up as a red pip but like the bighorns they dont attack unless you're close by and I ran into them when I went over a hill. I just felt bad, I mean how would you feel if you were a toddler and someone bumped into your mom and gave her a shotgun makeover? Probably not too great. Worst part is I couldn't cook the meat... WastelandAssassin
yeah, i know how that feels...... believe me, i hate killing creatures (and by that, i mean wildlife like dogs, coyotes, ravens, bighorners and molerate, and i hope i didn't forget anything......)but when i have to do it (like when they attack me) i will do it without blinking if you feel bad about it, just think that it could have been a deathclaw, so that shotgun treatment could have saved your life, and thank whatever wasteland deity for your good reflexes...... don't worry, life goes on, and the molerats will still breed like rats, so the one you killed will be replaced by plenty anyhow......this is just the way of life

Staghound
If there was any hope of persuading Deathclaws to feel the same way about eating people, who might be loving parents, I would go along with the sentiment. Then again, do you feel any remorse for the gang members and other human (or ghoulish) nasties that you kill? I play my character as 'Good Natured' and try to find peaceful solutions to problems, but if she has to resort to force she is totally ruthless .......
