Anarchist86ed
I'm trying to change a securitrons face for a machinima video, but ingame it's still the face of one of the female robots, the one that bangs mr. house. I created a new reference, so the robot isn't tied to the characters anymore. But it's face won't show my modded texture in game. It does show in Geck though. I only need to change the face for videos, not for the game.
WastelandAssassin
if you have created a new reference, have you placed that new npc in the game??because when you make a new reference, you don't change the original, so you will have to place the new npc in the game, to see if it has the new look

WastelandAssassin
i would recommend you to check how the faces are working in the gamefrom what i see, each face is a separate nif file, which means meshes and texturesso maybe you have to create a new nif file with your textures, and then it will worki can't really say, as i have never even thought of something like this, but this is the only idea that comes to my mind
Anarchist86ed
In Geck. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c200/Anarchist86ed/Geck2010-11-2811-03-08-51.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c200/Anarchist86ed/Geck2010-11-2811-04-11-66.jpg
WastelandAssassin
and it doesn't work in the game??in the game, do you just see the normal cop face??also, if you turn off some of the other files, it might worki mean, the robots switch faces, so maybe your face is just one of a few the robot has?? Anarchist86ed
Well never mind. I figured it out. Silly me thought that saving a file to the folder would work. NO. Of course, I have to save it to the desktop, then drag and drop the file into the securitron folder. Just like I do every time I want to activate an ESP file.... :wallbash:
WastelandAssassin
really?? was it THAT simple??well, it's good to know how to do it, and it's good to know it works good luck with the rest of your mod
Anarchist86ed
Yeh. For some reason nothing activates unless I drag a file from my desktop into the game folder. For example, my esp files don't work unless I save them to my desktop, and then drag them into the data folder and activate them in the launcher. But this game is so bugged, I shouldn't expect anything less than a hassle anyway.
