Melisande
A female figure enters the room. While not overly tall, she is not short. Her skin is dark, as if well-tanned, and has fine features that belie the steely hard look in her brown eyes. Her long, black hair is pulled back into a ponytail that is held by an embroidered blue and silver ribbon. While not wearing armor, the hilt of a katana can be seen sticking out of its sheath on her right side. Her clothing is loose, and some kind of symbolic figure clasps the belt around her waist. She startles as she comes in and sees the carnage in the room. After a second, she composes herself. "Excuse me," she asks sheepishly. "I hope that one of you would be master Bengt Reevelord, and not one of these poor souls on the ground." She looks over and sees the broken figure of a female. For some reason she has a sudden pang of recognition, then it fades away. "I came here for the job about solving a mystery." Her voice trails off at the end of the sentence. wesaynothin
Helstar looks the newcomer up and down. "Whatever happened to Bengt?" He asks, turning to Tiemmo and Krixox. "Have you seen a piece of paper anywhere? It should smell like lemons..." He says, turning back to the newcomer. He quickly returns to his hunt for the paper. Malchik
"Well, if you were to ask for an out and out guess, I'd say Bengt never really existed but was a kind of manifestation of something pretty nasty. It is sort of here but not properly so. It may have taken over Bengt's body although it did not discard the husk when it changed so it is more likely Bengt was always an illusion. I think the Bengt thing is not yet powerful enough to appear as he wishes and he is waiting for something to happen. Something the archaeology dig could interfere with. But who can we report this to?" After what for Tiemmo is a very long speech, the youth blushes and stammers to a conclusion. "Just my thoughts, you know." He glances at the new woman who seems faintly familiar. "Hello. I'm not sure if welcome is appropriate but it looks like we need all the help we can get." He offers her one of the rings he had taken from the guards and introduces himself.
Melisande
"Um, thank you, I think." the newcomer starts as she sees the action going on around her. She takes the ring, but knows not what to do with it. "My name's Portia, and does Master Reevelord exist or not exist? Lemons? Why are we looking for something that smells of lemons? What happened here?" She looks around quickly, an extremely puzzled look on her face. "Does this mean that the job is filled?"
Malchik
Tiemmo blushes again. "I sort of came into it half way along so I'm not much help. I was thinking we might be able to use these rings to pretend we belong to..." He tails off. "The trouble is, I don't know who or what it is." He looks hopeful at Helstar. Emry
"Eruanion, NOW!" Linden yells. And with a huge shove she attempts to push the fell spirit back onto Eruanion's blade.
wesaynothin
"Well, let me see. The person who understood most of what was going on died... The body must be around here somewhere..." He looks around for a second, then goes back to explaining. "In a nutshell, me and Melisande, the one that died, took a job for an archeologigist. His stuff was dissapearing, etc. We trekked on over here to talk to Bengt, saw a bunch of things withe the crafter guilds sign on it. Well, at least one of those guilds...." He trails off in thought, then resumes. "I smelt lemons on one of them... Where did that go?" He stops quickly, begins searching for the paper again, and resumes. "Then Bengt turned into a giant lizard thing and attcked us. Killed Melisande. Too bad though... nice girl. She could fight well... and knew what was going on. That about sums it up. Can you help me find the lemony-paper? I think it might help us..." Helstar mumbles off, continuing his search for the blasted paper.
Malchik
Tiemmo looks at his hands. "She was nice to me. There ain't been many people who've been nice to me. I feel I owe her something. If I could find out who killed her..." He helps to look through the papers to identify one that smelled strange. "I'll join you, Helstar, if you could use my help." Melisande
"It seems as though she made friends of you very quickly. That speaks well of her character." Portia says with still a puzzled look. "A lizard thing, Bengt's not here, archaeologogists, disappearing stuff, and you're looking for a paper that smells of lemons?" She pauses for a second. "Sounds okay to me. Might I join you? What did this paper look like? How big was it? What color?" She starts pawing around like the others. I have no clue what I'm doing here! she yells at herself. O well, I sense that there is no order here. Perhaps I can help provide it.
wesaynothin
" Oh, about yea high" he says, making motions of its size, "Had the craftmaster, or mason, or something guild sign on it. Oh... wait... Keep looking..." He tells Melisande, as he begins checking his own pockets.
