wesaynothin
Helstar looks to Tiemmo and mouths an apologie for the bad explanation. He turns back to the guards. "Sorry. Most of the smoke and fighting has probably skewed my senses. Do not listen to my ...babbling."
Kethruch
Alenee, Linden, & EruanionJune 5, 1048, 0846 The parchment is indeed old, so old that as you clear the remaining dust, you hold your breath so as to not damage it further. It contains a number of pictograms of a kind that none of you have ever seen, that seem to be in a strange, almost three-dimensional style. (Note: I say this to make sure that you do not think they are like heiroglyphs, which are two dimensional). The characters seem to be each like small, very detailed works of art. What they say or signify, however, is beyond your reckoning. Portia, Tiemmo, Helstar, and KrixoxJune 5, 1048, 0832 The soldiers wait a second, looking at the one who has so far done all of the talking. "You are a witness? Perhaps, then, you are correct." He says to Portia. "This matter is better handled by those who are more capable of dealing with its," he pauses, "nuances. Will you all please follow me, I am sure you want to get this taken care of as soon as possible." Two of the soldiers move outside, and the leader motions for all of you to do the same. "Please accompany us to the castle. If there are no problems, it would probably go better for you."
Malchik
Tiemmo thinks. Castles - walls - jails? He whispers to the others: "I'll start off with you but if it looks like it might be a trap I'll disappear and scout around outside. But I'll listen to your advice, too." Emry
Linden looks at the parchment trying to commit the pictograms to memory. "I have no idea what it is... except old. However, It could be important. Maybe this is a spell or something. Does anyone have a book perhaps, that we could store it between the pages so it lies flat? I think that if we touched it too much or tried to roll it, the paper would crumble away." Linden looks around the room to see if there is anything which might serve as a holder for this mysterious paper.
Melisande
"Lead on," Portia says. "I am at your disposal." She turns to Tiemmo. "Worry not, we will take care of what needs taking care of. They may not appreciate your absence if the questioning goes awry."
Malchik
Tiemmo nods. "But you might appreciate someone on the outside if all they do is lock you up!"
wesaynothin
"I think you staying outside wouldn't be a good idea..." Helstar taps his hand on the nearest object. "If we get imprisones, we wouldn't exactly be able to get word to you. And the guards would wonder where you are. Besides, you can explained all of that" He points around the room littered with bodies "Better than I can."

Emry
Linden looks up and around the room for something to put the paper into. Thinking that one of the books from the shelves, she heads over to them.
Kethruch
Tiemmo, Helstar, Portia, and Krixox June 05, 1048 0850 The soldiers lead you through the streets of Toof. Even though not under arrest, you somehow feel the looks of the city dwellers on you as if they were accusing you of something. As you approach the castle, you see an ancient, massive structure with walls twenty-five feet tall, towers and turrets twenty feet taller than that. Ahead of you, a huge gate looms, fully fifteen feet high, and, with the porticullis in the raised position, looks like a great beast's mouth that is ready to swallow you up. The road turns from paving stones to great oak timbers as you get near the gate, and it takes you a second before you realize that you are going across a bridge of sorts, some hundred paces in length, that crosses over what seems to be a rock and seawater filled chasm. Only after crossing this, do you finally reach the open gates to the castle of Toof. Throughout your journey, not one of your escorts has uttered a sound. They have just marched with you, as any well trained captors might. Linden, Alenee, & EruanionJune 05, 1048, 0848 Linden goes back to the shelves, and takes down one of the books. As she does, she knocks the middle shelf a little and the figurines rock before settling back.
