Emry
Linden goes to grab the figurines before they can possibly fall to the floor and break.
Melisande
"This is one place I wouldn't want to have to attack." Portia remarks as they go over the bridge/drawbridge/whatever it actually is. "Excuse me, sir." she asks the leader. "Who is it that we are going to see? I'm sure that these good people would like to know that as well." wesaynothin
"Yes, very interested to know who we will meet." Helstar mumbles, looking over his shoulder at the other side of the drawbridge, as if in pain to enter the castle.
Malchik
Tiemmo looks down uneasily. This is not going to be an easy place to escape from unless there are tunnels. He expects that there will be tunnels. For some reason there are always tunnels. He whistles tunelessly to keep his spirits up.
Emry
Linden looks at the statuettes as she settles them down on the shelf. She notices that they look very similar to the ones drawn in the pictographs. "Hey, Alenee...Eruanion, these figurines look like the drawings on that parchment...." Kethruch
Alenee, Linden, & EruanionJune 05, 1048 0850 It appears that Linden's thought has merit. The stylized figurines on the back shelf do seem to correspond to the drawings on the parchment. As you gather them up, you realize, however, that there are not enough of them to place over every figure that matches in the parchment. For some of the figures, there are two or three places that they could go on the parchment, and there are some drawings that don't appear to have a corresponding statue. 84 49 90 70 97 14 1969 17 96 45 66 20 3210 47 81 08 17 98 8316 48 56 99 33 16 5090 73 38 28 56 44 4756 16 54 06 32 17 2563 33 69 19 90 79 6025 91 47 84 50 99 5853 62 58 11 34 68 0209 83 33 21 25 19 13 The above is the array representing the figurines by number code. you find you have figurines:90 84 49 97 14 19 1747 33 25 34 11 8 56 There are 7 columns of 10 figures each on the parchment as represented above. Tiemmo, Helstar, Portia, and KrixoxJune 05, 1048 0855 You are brought before the head constable, who after a quick talk with the lead guard, takes you out into the courtyard. "My captain here says you may not like confining spaces. Well, until I figure out what's going on here, this will do well enough." The head constable is an older man, probably in his mid fifties. He has a wicked looking scar across his cheek and nose, and the left eye appears to not focus on you as he talks to you. "So," he says. "Who wants to tell me, very slowly, what happened, and where is iLord Reevelord?"
wesaynothin
Helstar steps up, and then bows to the man. "I am Helstar. I was witness since the beginning, but I am no speaker. I shall tell the tale up to the point when the others came in, and then I shall let them take up the story if they so wish. "It started when me and Melisande, a fallen companion, went to a Mr. Weavle for a job. He was an archeologist, looking for something. I am sorry, I never found out what. His equipment started to dissapear, so he called for outside help. Guards, investagators. That was when me and Melisande came in. During the first night we were there, the camp was raided by two men. They" Helstar swings his arm to point out Tiemmo and Krixox "came to our aid. I believe Krixox" He points to the Dwarf, "came for the same job, whereas Tiemmo", he points at Tiemmo, "...well, I dont know." From then on, our party wwas fully assembled, and I turn the tale to one better with words." Helstar steps back among the group, and looks at them anxiously. Malchik
Tiemmo says: "We thought the overseer might be able to help us identify the men, we believe one was called Felecor. They carried an amulet of the guild of builders. But he became very angry and for no reason that I could see ordered his guards to attack. He did not wait around to see what happened. I have no idea where he went. Perhaps he is somewhere else on the site. We were too distracted by the guards to see." He hopes the others understand the need for variations from the truth. "We lost one companion. This lady,"he nods towards Portia, "arrived after it had finished."
Emry
"This may take a bit to figure out." says Linden. "It seems that we have all the figurines for the first row on the parchment except for the one that looks like "70" (whatever that one is ;) ). Did anyone else see any other statuettes in the room except for the ones on this shelf?" Linden walks back over to the sarcophagus, looking to see if any more were buried with the body. Kethruch
Tiemmo, Helstar, Portia, and KrixoxJune 05, 1048 0856 "Excuse me, milord" the captain chimes in. "The one this man just indicated told us she was a witness. This is contrary to what was just presented here. I am sorry that this matter was ever brought before your honor." With that he motions for the guards to move the rest of the party out of the hall. "Milord" Krixox blurts out, in a voice lower in pitch than you are used to hearing, bowing as she does. "I am Krixox, a Dwarf of the family of Kitsin. The honor of my race is well known, and I swear to you on my mother's beard that we were not the aggressors." She wriggles herself free of the grasp that the soldiers had attempted to put on her. "If the honor of the dwarves is known to you, hear us out. We have some information that might interest you about this here Lord Reevelord." Linden, Alenee, and EruanionJune 05, 1048 0855 A quick investigation of the area reveals no more figurines.
